ERGO – the most desirable employer among the Lithuanian insurance companies

ERGO Insurance Group in Lithuania was acknowledged as the most desirable employer among the insurance companies in Lithuania. Such results were proven after the survey, which was for the sixth time in Lithuania organized by the daily Verslo žinios together with the Carrier portal cv.lt. Among the biggest Lithuanian companies (SEB bankas, Omnitel, Swedbank, Bitė Lietuva, Nordea bankas, TEO LT) ERGO appeared on the 9th place.
„With the view of the people to be able to assess the company, it is very important so that not only the managers, but also the employees, made every effort. It would not be easy to earn the title of the “Most desirable employer” without our ambassadors. Therefore, I am truly grateful and would like to thank them on behalf of the Board“, – says Dr. Kęstutis Bagdonavičius, Chairman of the Board of ERGO Insurance Group in the Baltic countries. According to the Chairman of the Board, the fact that despite unpopular decisions, dictated by hard economic times people face today, the employees remain loyal to the company, have reliance and trust in the company, as well as share these news with their families, friends, and acquaintances, is extremely joyful.
One of the central long-term aims of activities of ERGO Insurance Group in the Baltic countries is to ensure engaging working conditions for the employees. The implementation of the number of solutions favorable for the employees has been provided in the Human Resource Management in all Baltic countries. „Project – International Trainee Program, enabling ERGO personnel to exchange practice and knowledge in various companies belonging to the concern (ERGO is represented in over 30 countries in Europe and Asia) – will be implemented in the short run“, – says Dr. Kęstutis Bagdonavičius, engaged in the Human Resource Management in the Baltic countries as one of the areas of coordination.
The vision of ERGO Insurance Group in the Baltic countries also covers the goal employ competent, professional, and motivated people. „Where organizing the selection of new ERGO employees, it is endeavored to hire people of due qualification, interested in work and improvement. Considerable attention is given to creation of favorable working conditions. It is particularly important that the value criteria of the employees were correspondent with the values, cherished by the company. Perception of unanimous ERGO culture and values is a fundamental factor that encourages to pursue excellent return within the team“, – says the Chairman of the Board Dr. Kęstutis Bagdonavičius.
To enhance the personnel motivation as well as loyalty to the company, the employees of the Baltic countries are granted extra social guarantees and compensations according to the Program of extra social guarantees and compensations for the employees. With a view to ensure the in-service training for the employees, all ERGO companies in the Baltic countries are engaged in developing the personnel-beneficial initiatives: various training programs and projects. The annual event ERGO AWARDS is organized to give credit and pay tribute to the best employees of the company. Joint Christmas celebrations as well as summer festivals, which take place every second year, are arranged to gather together and motivate the personnel.
